What's going on at Gouarec Campsite in 2020...
This year planning our usual events has proved impossible and so we've decided to do something a little different...
On the Weekend of the 21/22/23 August we will be holding a very special and very unusual event at the campsite.
The 'Fete des Vieux Campeurs' is a chance for people who love classics and camping to get together in a friendly family atmosphere. I will be inviting classic car/bike/cycle/caravan/boat clubs from all over France and the UK to come to our campsite for a weekend where we can share our passions.
We will not be organising entertainments or meals, rather each club and group is invited to bring BBQ's, musical instruments, games and come and share their passion with like-minded people. You will all be expected to provide your own entertainment and I hope that this may become competitive;-)
We will not be taking bookings and reservations, we rely on the campsite being able to absorb all who come. The price is 'prix libre' – that is you simply pay whatever you feel able to.
All this means that if we have to move to a later date, or cancel no-one will be out of pocket and to change dates will be simple and painless.
This is a weekend where the campsite has combined with the village to make a wonderful weekend with a 'Vintage' feel full of classic cars, caravans, Bikes - you name it - all are welcome;-)
As well as the usual campsite facilities We will also provide routes in the area for drivers who wish to explore all the wonderful places within easy reach.
A gentle start for all the participants as we drive/ride to the Abbey and market at Bon Repos in order to show the vehicles, explore the market and buy a picnic ... Then you can drive out to the lake at Langoelan for a very leisurely picnic;-) There's a bar there just waiting for us - there will be two routes - a 'long one' and a direct one for people in vehicles that can only make 20 mph;-)
